Was great golfing with you today Danny
Hey brother, just wanted to say you’ve been a huge influence in my career as a southern Gospel artist. I remember watching you on vhs’ of the Cathedrals like traveling live and 25th anniversary, but my favorite videos was watching you with Perfect Heart singing those old songs like, Jesus Still Saves, In My Wildest Dreams, He Will Come Back, They That Sow and the list goes on & on. I have never had the chance of seeing you in person and would love to hear you sing sometime, let me know when you get back around to Louisiana! God bless you buddy, and may the Lord continue to share the gospel through song. I’ve traveled with Dale recently when I was with the Freedom Quartet & I’ve known Mark for years he’s a VERY GOOD friend of mine, wish we could see a Perfect Heart Reunion Tour sometime in the near future, that would be awesome!
Thank you so much for your messages today!
Thank You so much for using the talent that God has given you to minister to others. I attended my very first Cathedral Concert on Nov 4, 2017 in Ft.Worth, Tx only able to be at the concert @ 7pm. I was raised hearing Southern Gospel Music. Danny, when I heard you sing Somebody's Praying for me during the intermission I went and got your CD. I saw you standing there and was speechless. It was an honor to hear you sing. Just to know that Somebody's Praying makes it all worthwhile. Blessings to you Danny as you minister to others who need to believe that Somebody's Praying.
I hope you get to come back to Georgia soon! Getting to hear you in March was absolutely one of the greatest highlights of my year, and a dream come true! Thank you for being such a good role model/Christian influence!
I just can't stop listening to you when you sung with the Cathedrals,I think I made my car CD player stop from using it too much. I Love your music and voice, and ministry. I would love to see you in concert sometime.God Bless you my friend!!!!
When I was very young, I would go to see the Cathedrals and I'm pretty sure my first crush was Danny Funderburk. I knew the words to every single Cathedrals song. Even though they were all older men, they inspired me and helped me with my journey of loving The Lord Jesus. I was so surprised when he would recognize me. This skinny girl with brown hair and dark brown eyes. One year I got a perm and he said look at your curls! I even bought him a rose corsage and gave it to him before one of his concerts with The Cathedrals. He wore it on stage and I thought I was gonna faint! :-) After all these years, I still remember. I'll never forget. Thank you for forming beautiful memories.
Danny has touched my heart for years. Its amazing that as a teenager in a small Caribbean island in the 1980s my favourite gospel group was made up of five men from the heart of America - The Cathedrals. I still believe that Danny was the best tenor the group ever had. His rendition of "Boundless Love" to this day still captivates me. I thank God for you Danny. May God continue to bless you and your ministry. Your voice is still amazing. Thank God you gave up playing the drums. Your instrument is our amazing voice.
Just listening to some favorites from when I was younger and realizing who that awesome tenor was! Amazing, God-given voice! Can't wait til you are around here!
Danny, always great to hear your singing, i can pick you out of any cathedrals recording..keep singing to our Lord and Savior.
